Guys I feel like if Gretzky wasn't good enough in Holland's eyes than he would've been gone. We all saw the storm he weathered as he saw a lot of his colleagues get fired and replaced. Ken Holland knows what he's doing and he obviously feels like he should keep Keith in Edmonton. Tie his name to Bear, Bouchard, Jones, Malone, Currie, Marody, Starett. All of these future Oilers. Mostly Defense for a desperate Oilers Team. If Ken Holland thought that Gretzky wasn't going to do more of that than he would've fired him. There's a reason Keith is still in Edmonton.

I think that he's wanting a Stanley cup team right now. But honestly I think that we'd all be fine if we at least made the playoffs next year. True that's being a little too optimistic but if you ask me I believe that they have the tools to get there it's just a matter of using them right. See we could use a winger for hopkins not McDavid. I don't think that we should break up the dynamic duo between him and Draisaitl. But a lot of stuff needs to happen for Nuge. He should get a lot of credit because he was driving his own line and not Draisaitl. Draisaitl is capable but he's so much better with Mcdavid. Maybe everybody could be better with Mcdavid but that's not what happened with Rieder and we all know about that train wreck. Reider's hope was to play with McDavid and Draisaitl, who he played with in Germany so they have some background together. And he thought he could score with Mcdavid. Now the Lucic problem is only a problem because he can't find his footing. He'd be worth it if he played like he did in LA and Boston. Maybe he'll fit into Dave's coaching tatics. Now I don't believe that Hitch would ask for Manning. That's not a smart move for the Oilers. What if Connor decided to leave because of that? That would've done some serious damage to the already de funk oilers franchise. But thankfully McDavid's one of those guys who stays loyal to the team. And obviously he wants to play in Edmonton. "IF I didn't want to stay I wouldn't of signed an 8-year contract" is what he said. That gives hope to Edmonton Fans everywhere (except Toronto). And maybe KH can keep Jesse in Edmonton for a little bit longer. Because the oilers do have his rights and they can sign him before he can walk away. That's part of his contract. And if he does blossom he might help the oilers more. But he was rushed into the NHL. Just like Koskinen. And Jones. And Bear. Maybe Kosk doesn't need anyore time in Europe but he's not an established number 1 yet. And get rid of Stolarz. What was that? That was dissapointing. I think that if Cam and Mikko had a 50/50 job with each other than it would've gone a lot smoother. Cause when one was on a hot streak the other was doing horrible and vice versa. And it would've given them a lot more rest too. They both were iron men but being a goalie is physically and mentally draining. So to give them a break would be good. But that's what could've been. That's all gone thanks to our horrible ex Gm PC. If he gets a job in the NHL again than whoever hired has the IQ of a rock. But as long as he's not burning down the oilers franchise it's not our problem.
  3. The Oilers have around 9 mil in Cap space and they might let some of the RFA's go which would create more cap space. And if the Lucic-Eriksson trade does become a reality than it would be the same kind of money and will be an UFA in 2022. He might be able to give the oilers some veteran experience and is a top six forward if he signs with the Oilers. And they won't be signing draft picks to 6 mil deals. And obviously Ken Holland is going to be trying to clear up some cap space. I don't thin the Oilers are going to trade their first round pick. This draft class has a lot of talent. I don't think the Oilers want to give up the chance to draft a top six forward. We won't be able to Draft Hughes or Kaapo but we still might be able to get something out of this
  4. I would focus on the draft a little bit more. I would try to sign Sergei Bobrovsky. I would try to trade Lucic. I would try to Trade for Anthony Duclair (Ottawa). I would also move Anthony Stolarz. Or I would assign him to Bakersfeild for some conditioning. I would also trade russel to clear up some more cap space.

Well we all knew it was going to be a busy summer. Just didn't know it was going to be this busy. Ken Holland took the job as Gm in Edmonton. If you don't know who he is then you live under a rock or you don't watch hockey. He's the guy who built the Detroit dynasty. 25 years of making the playoffs. 3 Stanley cups. He also took the Red Wings from the Yzerman super team to the Zetterburgh team. He also has an uncanny ability to pick out late round gems. Most of these things fans only dream of. He has been already making a couple changes. The franchise has seen almost a complete make over with most of the old gone. Keith Gretzky is one of the last few still in Edmonton. Hopefully he can carry his already vast knowledge of this years draft class into this franchise. I also hope that we can get Kirby Dach. He is almost a perfect replica of Draisaitl. Played for the Saskatoon Blades. He has a big body and smooth hands. He was a big part of the Blades season this year, which included the first trip to the playoffs since the Braden Holtby era in 2013. But we probavly won't. He's projected to go sixth in the draft. But you never know. Also more things to hope for is that we may be able to move Lucic this summer and get rid of the black hole he created in the salary cap. We do have about 10 mil in cap space but getting his contract out the door would be a big boost. We'd be able to sign a more promising player. The projected free agents this year includ Sergei Bobrovsky, Matt Duchene, Jeff Skinner, Erik Karlsson, Joe Pavelsky, Artemi Panarin and more. So we could be able to sign one of those guys. I want to sign Bobs but that's being to hopeful. But you never know.

Why must you always say that the oilers aren't going to make the playoffs. They are 7 points out. That's three and a half games. we have twelve left. As long as the other teams aren't winning then they aren't pulling away. Most of the teams we are playing aren't in the playoffs. That gives us a legit chance

Well. it's been awhile. And during that While the oilers started a three game win streak. They have a chance at the playoffs and The oilers started to play some real good hockey. A couple weeks back everybody was saying they're not going to make the playoffs. I said that they were. And now it looks like they just might. 9 of their last 12 are at home. And all the oilers fans have jumped back on the bandwagon. So playing at home might be a little less nerve-wracking. Let's go oilers

All my statements are rooted I said they don’t need to be putting up big numbers as long as they can still take a lead you don’t need to win a 8-0 As long as you win even if it’s 1-0 you still get two points it may not be an exciting game but it’s still a win Ive been told by a lot of people to look at the whole picture or open your eyes but the thing is I already see everything I unlike everybody else see some good in every game for the oilers Like maybe it wasn’t 7-0 against San Jose this time Its like a goalie getting scored on. It just looks like a shot the the goalie couldn’t stop but it could be way more. Maybe the goalie was getting screened and couldn’t see the puck Maybe his pad was getting held (Cam Talbot game 5 2016 v Ducks) Maybe the shot was deflected into the net when it was going wide Maybe it got tipped There are so many other factors that weigh in but all of us just see a goal Also Foglin you can say that I’m wrong and everything is just me protecting the Oilers and not willing to admit there are bad. They are bad. Right now. But they still make the playoffs. Until wild card teams can start pulling away the oilers have as good of a chance as anybody else in this wild card race. I see the Oilers making the playoffs. And one last thing Connor Mcdavid isn’t the only Bright spot on the team Klefbom is really extremely underrated Does anybody remember Leon winning the premier passer competition at the all star competition?

You really think the Oilers care about a paycheque right now? And besides Ofanatics the hockey doesn’t stop as soon as the season ends for a team the draft comes up you have to get your free agents signed again or bring in new guys and the team has events for the fans and other crap. The hockey doesn’t stop (but you still have time for golf) And biggest worry for the Oilers is making the playoffs They don’t have time to worry about money

Actually it's saying that until the playoff spot is clinched they still in a word have a chance

I'm am not a blind faithful did ya read the whole thing? I just don't believe that the oilers are out of the playoff picture yet. Also I'm a prospect who has been here for two weeks. I'm calling out an MVP. But in a popularity contest there's no question. I would vote for you. Also I checked the standings yesterday but I guess the wild were playing so that's why I said 4 points instead of 6 My Mistake Also the last time we were three games over 500 was November 4th, 2018. And we were 4 games over Until the last playoff spot in the west is clinched i still think the Oilers will make it.

The fanbase here is wonderful. The team has a bad injury plagued season and know al of a sudden they get everybody back and they lose one game since everybody healthy and they just won't win? Come on guys I highly doubt the oilers care more about their paychecks more then their fans.
