  1. http://edmontonjournal.com/sports/hockey/nhl/cult-of-hockey/edmonton-oilers-acquire-college-winger-nolan-vesey-from-toronto-maple-leafs-then-sign-him https://www.nhl.com/oilers/news/release-oilers-acquire-nolan-vesey-from-toronto/c-299005698 I can't see any discussion anywhere on all the latest low level deals, on players that barely got noticed in their draft years. Mostly College guys who haven't signed anywhere else, or are cast offs from others. What does everyone think? Is this to build the Oilers? The Condors? Lack of options, and just filling the farm with enough players to ice a team? I don't get it .... none of it seems like anything worth pursuing, much less giving a contract to. Does it come from good scouting? or just desperation and lack of better ideas?
