Lately I've been curious as to what type of curve Hemsky uses on his Total One. I am aware that their are no "Hemsky" curves out at United Cycle or Sport Chek, and when I was watching Oil Change (last season) he curves the tip of the blade with what I believe is a grinder. Since my One95 has a Malkin curve, I was also wondering how close is it to Hemsky's curve. If any one knows what the closest curve Hemsky uses, that would be great cause I really would like to know. Thanks. :th_hockey20player:

I was wondering about this as well. I currently use a Easton S14 with a Hall curve and a RBK 11k with a Datsyuk curve

Now that's a sweet stick!! Datsyuk curve is the best that I have ever used; great all-around for stickhandling, shooting and backhands. Wish mine was an 11k though.

Renney has a problem with Hemsky's stick apparently. He compared his stick to that of a "road hockey" stick implying that the blade is all wrong...

:th_shrug:

BTW, Topic title spelling fixed :)

Eberle WILL be the next Oilers Captain. Betcha money.

LoL a road hockey stick. It's probably the nicest curve in the NHL, if I could get that stick in a lefty, I would be all :th_banana:

Is there a store in Edmonton thats sells Oilers sticks? (aside from the Oilers stores in Rexall)

Thanks for fixing the title typo.

I use a Bauer APX with a P. Kane curve. I am thinking of getting the totalone one as a back up though

he is using a band new type of stick this year and can't seem to hit the net so you probably want to steer clear of that

You can pick up Used and Unused Oiler sticks from Totem outfitters on the southside. I was there last week and picked up a Magnus Paajarvi stick. All the oiler sticks have the players name or nickname on them and their own personal curves. Upside to the sticks there is that they are the high end sticks you see at regular retailers but at almost 50% off. Downside is that because they are Pro Stock sticks they tend to not last nearly as long.

I know Hemmer uses a very slight toe curve. I also believe he uses the grinder to shorten the blade by shaving down the toe a bit.

Just watched the most recent "In-Focus" video, and noticed he has a new Vapor stick now. Also he has a slightly changed tape job, thats the similar, to what he did before his shoulder injuries.

Found a Hemsky stick with the pro stock code:

1007-21

I believe that's the blade pattern he ordered

82

His flex in his stick

B

"B" grade shaft wall thickness

and another code:

EOHC - A0150 (I'm guessing the EOHC stands for Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club)
